This special screening will bring together 999 audience members w/children of girls on the first transport and the director of the film, 999. The Rena's Promise Foundation will also launch its interactive archive at the event.

About the event
The inspiration for this event was Sharon Feldman, who envisioned screening 999 in a theatre that could be filled with 999 people. For the past 9 months, she and other women dedicated to this vision have worked tirelessly to create a once in a lifetime event to commemorate the young women and teenage girls of the first Jewish transport.
The evening will also launch an interactive archive compiled over the years with the help and support of families of the first transports to Auschwitz - which were all young women - in 1942. Upon entering the theatre, every audience member will be given a ticket with the name of a girl from the transport, which they can access via touch screen tables in the lobby or from their cell phones to learn of the fates and see photographic documentation.
